It's a New Year and Capital BlueCross Wants to Recognize You!

As Capital BlueCross continues to distinguish itself as a leader in promoting better health, we want to recognize our group customers who have the same focus on promoting good health among their employees.

Capital BlueCross offers the Capital BlueCross Worksite Wellness Award to recognize employers for their accomplishments in promoting health and wellness in their workplace. This award recognizes success, dedication, and excellence in managing worksite wellness initiatives.

Applicants for the award are evaluated on the following criteria:

  • Engagement Methods
  • Strategic Planning
  • Programming
  • Measurement and Evaluation
  • Supportive Environment
  • Success Stories
  • Management Support

Winners will receive wellness credits that can be used to offset the cost of items and services such as biometric screenings, telephone coaching, pedometers, and incentives, just to name a few.*

Eligibility:

Applicants need to complete the HERO Employee Health Management Best Practice Scorecard© in collaboration with Mercer worksite health assessment and also use the Capital BlueCross programs in their worksite wellness program. If you have not yet completed your HERO Scorecard assessment, simply contact your Account Executive or assigned Health Educator for assistance.

Applicant submissions and supporting materials must be received by Capital BlueCross by October 1, 2014 to be eligible. There is no cost to apply.

*Wellness credits are awarded to participants who have renewed their Capital BlueCross coverage.
