Capital BlueCross Adds Two New Hires

HARRISBURG, Pa. (Oct. 8, 2012) – Capital BlueCross recently hired two new employees to fill key corporate positions.

Robert Torres joined the Capital BlueCross team as the vice president, Health Information Technology. In this capacity, Torres is responsible for information technology infrastructure, operations and application support services. In addition, he will oversee the development of information technology business solutions and services and help support technology innovation. Prior to working at Capital BlueCross, Torres served as Pennsylvania’s Health Information Technology coordinator.

Torres, of Lower Swatara Township, Dauphin County, is a graduate of Pace University and the Widener University School of Law.

Harvey F. Littman is the new vice president of Finance. In this role, Littman is responsible for leading financial reporting, cost and budget and general accounting functions, as well as overseeing the investment portfolio and advising executive management on corporate financial matters.

Prior to becoming a member of the Capital BlueCross team, Littman was chief financial officer of Scott and White Health Plan in Texas.

Littman, of Harrisburg, Pa., is a graduate of the University of Houston and the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
