Capital BlueCross Creative & Design Department Earns Two Major Awards
HARRISBURG, Pa. (May 16, 2013) – Capital BlueCross constantly strives to bring the highest level of innovation and creativity to its customers. Recently the company learned that this focus on excellence has earned its Creative & Design department two Hermes Creative Awards in international competition.
The company won two gold honors for the design of its 2011 Annual Report and for in-kind creative work done on a Homeland Center 145th anniversary gala brochure. Hermes Creative Awards is an international competition for creative professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of traditional and emerging media. These awards recognize outstanding work in the industry while promoting the philanthropic nature of marketing and communication professionals.

There were approximately 5,600 entries from throughout the United States and several other countries in the Hermes Creative Awards 2013 competition. The gold award is presented to those entries judged to exceed the high standards of the industry norm. Less than 20 percent of the entries were selected as gold award winners for this year’s competition, putting Capital BlueCross in an elite group.
Capital BlueCross’ Creative & Design department produces nearly 10,000 jobs a year, including many collateral materials and other communication pieces for its customers, and community and business partners.
