Capital BlueCross earns two national awards for graphic design

HARRISBURG, Pa. (Oct. 24, 2014) – Graphic Design USA, a leading magazine for the graphic design industry, has awarded Capital BlueCross two 2014 American Health + Wellness Design Awards.

Capital BlueCross received one American Health + Wellness Design Award for its package of materials designed for the company’s annual Health & Wellness University event, which hosts children of Capital BlueCross employees for a day of fun and learning, emphasizing the importance of eating well and staying active.

The second award was received for Simply Well, a semi-annual newsletter that Capital BlueCross publishes for its customers to provide important information about health plan benefits, programs, services and ways to live healthy.

“With so much to communicate to our customers, our employees and the community, it is essential that we apply best practices to present information and our brand with excellence,” said Jason Kirsch, senior director of Communications and Brand. “That’s exactly what the graphic design professionals at Capital BlueCross strive to accomplish for every project they undertake. We are fortunate to have such a talented and creative in-house team, and we couldn’t be more proud that they’ve been recognized nationally for their work.

Capital BlueCross was one of only 135 winning organizations nationally. The company’s two winning projects were selected out of about 1,000 entries.

Capital BlueCross’ design team has earned five graphic design awards nationally and regionally in the past two years.
