Capital BlueCross, Florida Blue to discuss future of retail in health insurance at World Congress

            HARRISBURG, Pa. (Feb. 24, 2015) – Capital BlueCross and Florida Blue are teaming up to discuss the future of retail stores in health insurance on Feb. 25 at the World Congress’ Health Plan Consumerism Congress in Orlando, FL. Aji Abraham, senior vice president, Business Development, will present on behalf of Capital BlueCross; Charlie Kirksey, senior director of Strategy and Business Development, will present on behalf of Florida Blue.

            “World Congress is thrilled to have Capital BlueCross and Florida Blue join the program for this year’s Health Plan Consumerism Congress,” said McKenzie Curran, conference producer. “Their work in consumer-centric retail has long been admired by others in the industry, and is on the cutting edge of innovation for the field. Abraham and Kirksey both led their respective company’s evolution into the brick-and-mortar retail market and will share that experience, along with their assessment for the future, in their session titled The Next Generation of Retail Strategies—Learn How to Develop and Diversify Revenue.

  • How health plans can grow, adapt, and diversify their retail business
  • The value of including wellness products and services in a retail strategy
  • How ancillary programs expand and support revenue while reducing health spend
