Capital BlueCross Invites Community to
Free Health Fair at Capital Blue Store Sept. 26
Family event to feature children’s activities, entertainment, food, massages and health screenings
HARRISBURG, Pa. (Sept. 23, 2015) – Capital BlueCross invites the community to “fall into good health” with a free family health fair on Saturday, Sept. 26, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at its Capital Blue store at Hampden Marketplace in Enola. The event is free and open to the public.
“Fall is a great time to get out and enjoy healthy family activities,” said Jenn Natalie, Capital BlueCross senior manager of Retail Strategy. “Our health fair at Capital Blue will have something for everyone, including children’s activities, health screenings for adults, and healthy food -- all free.”
Children will enjoy live music and entertainment from Cobblestone Players a local children’s performing group, and a book signing by Mikayla's Voice, who will be on sight to educate, inspire, and empower people to make a difference in life.
Other children’s activities include face painting, crafts and dancing. The Harrisburg City Islanders will also be stopping by, and Community Partners 4 Kids will offer fingerprinting services for children, a vital resource for parents should their children ever go missing.
While the kids are playing, adults can have their body mass index measured, blood pressure taken, hearing checked by Miracle Ear, and enjoy a relaxing chair massage.
Additional information available at the health fair includes senior fitness, tips for success in managing your health, and patient support.
Guests can also sample healthy foods from the Healthy You Café, Capital Blue’s full-service in-store café, including pumpkin pie smoothies, walnut/cranberry salad with balsamic vinaigrette, fruit kabobs, chicken pesto paninis and pumpkin cookies.
