Capital BlueCross showcases digital health
evolution at annual health care forums

Keynote by technology forecaster Daniel Burrus provides 
glimpse of future medically connected world

            HARRISBURG, Pa. (May 14, 2015) – Capital BlueCross will host Daniel Burrus, one of the world’s leading technology forecasters and innovation experts, at its two annual health care forum events in May. Additionally, with the support of more than a dozen community partners and sponsors, the forums will each feature a Digital Village with interactive stations where attendees will explore how digital innovations are powering improvements to individual health and wellness.

The invitation-only Capital BlueCross events will be held from 8 to 11 a.m. on May 15 at the Holiday Inn in Breinigsville, Pa. and from 8 to 11 a.m. on May 21 at the Hershey Lodge in Hershey, Pa.

            Keynote speaker Burrus is CEO of Burrus Research, a research and consulting firm that monitors global advances in technology to help clients profit from technological, social and business forces that are converging to create untapped opportunities.             The Digital Village at each event will showcase for attendees how Capital BlueCross, its health innovations incubator company, Geneia, and community partners are making it possible for consumers to use portable devices and other technology to better manage their health and health care costs. Employers and health care providers will also get a view into the power data holds in improving the health of their employees and patients.

  • @ Your Fingertips: Capital BlueCross team members carrying iPads will provide a live demo on how consumers can utilize health tools and services on the go.
