Like many providers, we know you’d like to find a way to reduce your paperwork and administrative costs. Well, we have good news for you! Capital BlueCross now participates with the Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare’s (CAQH) Universal Provider Datasource® (UPD). UPD allows providers to electronically submit and update data for multiple business functions including credentialing.
Why should you participate with UPD?
If you register with UPD, you no longer need to complete an average of 10 to 15 paper applications per year. Instead you can submit a single, online form. The data is entered into a secure, centralized database that offers providers complete control of their information and the ability to actively manage and distribute updates.
How to participate with UPD
To participate with UPD, all you have to do is sign into the CAQH website, and create, at no charge, a comprehensive ‘Provider Profile’ (CAQH credentialing Application) to share with Capital BlueCross.
NOTE: Please remember to give Capital BlueCross permission to have access to your application.
New provider who wish to join the Capital BlueCross network, please click on the link at the top of the page on the right side titled ‘For Health Professionals’ and select ‘Join Our Network’.
Participating providers who needs to submit a request to add an additional provider to your current group account, please access Navinet and maneuver to the provider Library. Along the left hand side of the page, click on Forms, Guides, and Directories and click on Universal Credentialing Information Form.
