Rebecca Stevenson of Capital BlueCross earns YWCA Women of Excellence honor

            HARRISBURG, Pa. (Dec. 30, 2013) – The YWCA Greater Harrisburg selected Rebecca Stevenson, Capital BlueCross vice president of Communications and Brand Strategy, as a 2014 Woman of Excellence. The annual tribute honors local women for their contributions to the workplace and community.

“Rebecca’s experience in global communications has made her a true leader for our company during a critical time of change in the health insurance industry,” said Gary D. St. Hilaire, Capital BlueCross president & CEO. “Equally impressive is the work she does serving in leadership roles for organizations that improve the arts, education and the overall quality of life for people throughout our region.”

Stevenson serves on the Boards of Harrisburg Academy, Open Stage of Harrisburg and the United Way of the Capital Region.

She will be honored during the 25th Annual Tribute to Women of Excellence awards ceremony on March 25, 2014 at the Hershey Lodge.

Since the event’s inception, the Tribute to Women of Excellence awards ceremony has honored over 500 women and raised hundreds of thousands of dollars in support of YWCA programs for women, children and men.
