Capital BlueCross hosts free health fair to celebrate first day of summer

Fun, family day includes free health screenings,healthy refreshments, and children’s activities

            HARRISBURG, Pa. (June 19, 2014) – Capital BlueCross is ushering in the first official day of summer by hosting a free health fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on June 21 at its Capital Blue store, located at the Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley in Center Valley, Pa.

“We want to help the community get a healthy start to the summer,” said Jenn Natalie, senior manager of retail strategy. “The health fair will offer people of all ages the opportunity to learn about healthy eating, staying active and having fun in the sun.”

Highlighting the fun for children will be the opportunity to meet Roey Ebert, host of Roey’s Paint Box Parties, and author/illustrator of Lana Tries Yoga.

The health fair will also feature free health screenings, tips on organic living, fitness demonstrations, face painting, art activities, and the launch of the American Diabetes Walk for 2014. Attendees can also enjoy free healthy refreshments, such as fruit kabobs and yogurt pops from the Rodale Café at Capital Blue.
