Rebecca Stevenson of Capital BlueCross to discuss engaging consumers at symposium in Harrisburg
HARRISBURG, Pa. (July 23, 2014) – Rebecca Stevenson, vice president of Communications and Brand Strategy at Capital BlueCross, will participate on a panel discussion on July 25 about strategies to engage consumers during a health care symposium hosted by Central Penn Business Journal in Harrisburg.
“The health care industry is changing rapidly, and more than ever there is a fervent emphasis on the consumer,” said Gary D. St. Hilaire, Capital BlueCross president and CEO. “Rebecca has been a leader in our company’s shift to target the consumer market, helping to engage and serve customers where and how they want to do business with us. With her experience, she will have much to contribute to this symposium, highlighting strategies and practices that best meet the evolving needs of health care consumers.”
A significant focus of Stevenson’s efforts is guiding Capital BlueCross in how it connects with customers and the greater community in the new health care landscape through marketing, public relations, social media, digital, and advertising initiatives.
Stevenson has played a key role in the adoption of innovative consumer engagement strategies, such as the expansion of Capital BlueCross' social media presence and suite of online and mobile tools.
With the Capital BlueCross mobile app, for example, managing health care is transformed into an engaging and convenient experience. Consumers can securely store and access personal health information, such as their health insurance identification card, names of their prescription drugs and scheduled doctor appointments. Customers also appreciate Capital BlueCross’ Live Healthy app, with which users can set goals for improved health, track their progress and chart their course to wellness. Both the Capital BlueCross mobile app and Live Healthy app are available free for anyone.
Joining Stevenson on the symposium panel will be Blaze Cambruzzi, chief operating officer of ROCK Commercial Real Estate.
