How is Capital BlueCross handling prescription drug refills?
To help members prepare for the potential need to stay home or remain isolated for an extended period, we are waiving early medication refill limits on prescription medications, whether filled at a retail pharmacy or through home delivery, through January 21, 2021. We also are encouraging members to use their 90-day home delivery benefit. (Early refills aren’t available for a small number of prescription drugs with quantity level limits. If the pharmacy rejects an early refill request, the member should call Member Services at the number on the back of their member ID card for assistance.)
